Where is Zaporozhye?

On the map

Zaporizhia is the administrative and regional center of Zaporizhia region of Ukraine. This city is the main southern river and railway hubs of the region. In addition, it is an important administrative, industrial and cultural center of the south of Ukraine, so you need to know where Zaporizhia is located.

The city of Zaporozhye is located on the banks of the Dnieper River (on both sides of it), and most of the city is located on the Dnieper lowland. It is worth noting that there are several reservoirs on the river, so it is an important transportation hub of this region.

The climate in both Zaporizhzhya and Zaporizhia Oblast is predominantly temperate continental, sometimes dry.

Zaporozhye is one of the polluted cities in the south of Ukraine, as the industry prevails related to mechanical engineering, metallurgy, chemical and construction industries.

The population of the city is about 760 thousand people.

By the way, in Ukraine there are many villages with the name of Zaporizhia (in Chernihiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Nikolaev region, Kherson region, Kirovograd region). There is no wonder and confused.

The name is proud

The city of Zaporozhye is decrypted as beyond the thresholds. The emergence of the name of the city takes us into the past and says that before the installation of the platinum of the Dnieper Hydroelectric Power Plant at the intersection of the river and the Ukrainian shield, thresholds that impede navigation are ending.
