The most beautiful toy on the Christmas tree can be created only with your own hands. These works will not only be unique, but also bring a sense of joy and warmth to every home. One of these decorations is a knitted Christmas ball, decorated with a flower made of ribbons.
To create a ball you need the following set of materials:
- White threads (100% cotton).
- Hook № 1-2.
- PVA glue or thick sugar syrup.
- Balloon (small) and pump.
- Organza tape 1 cm wide in white.
- Satin ribbons in white and pink, 5 in width see
- Thin white ribbon (width 0.5 cm) with gold silver stitching.
- Hot glue.
- Rhinestones for the middle of a flower.
At the first stage it is necessary to tie a ball, which consists of two identical hemispheres, and then stitched. We knit the first half of the balloon according to the following scheme: The first 9 air loops (air) are tied into a ring.
In the second row of air loops we make arches (3-4 loops each),we catch them for every second loop of the first row.
Then in the third row we knit three crochets into each arch. The next row consists of arches of 5 air loops.
In each semicircle, fasten 7 bricks with a double hinge loop, between the fragments, tie 3 air loops each.
The next row consists of arches that form air loops. The arches are tied up over the fragments of the columns from the previous row and over the gaps.
Next, again knit a row of double crochets, which" grow "from the arches. As the number of loops increases with each row, a circle is formed.
Tie a picture again with openwork elements from simple air loops.
In the next row, skip a few lace patterns when tying arches,to raise the edge of the semicircle.
The second half is knitted according to the first pattern, all the loops should match and a similar detail will turn out.
In the next step, tie two hemispheres together. In this case, you can use the binding on 3 air lines. and cling first to the right edge, and the following knitted loops are fixed to the last row on the left.
You get such a shapeless thing, which is a little like a ball.
When the ball is bound we prepare the solution, due to which the knitted ball "will harden" in a round condition. The solution can be of several types - for example, 30 ml of PVA glue can be dissolved in a glass of warm water. Another way is to boil a thick sugar syrup, but at the same time it is necessary to stir it often, so that it does not burn and does not take on a brown appearance. Immerse the whole ball in a warm solution for 1-2 minutes so that the threads are thoroughly soaked.
Next, remove the product, put it on a towel and inflate the balloon inside the sphere to the required size.
Tie a ball and put the work to dry.
When the product is thoroughly dried, it takes em round shape, then the balloon needs to burst and carefully remove it from the knitted ball.
Decorate the" equator "of the product with a thin transparent ribbon. You need to thread it under the thread, then above the thread.
At the next stage, we start making a satin flower using the kanzashi technique. Cut the ribbon into square blanks, the size of which is exactly 5 cm.
Flex each element several times as in the photo :
Burn the bottom of the product with a cigarette lighter, then turn the petal and drop the hot melt glue into the back pocket, press the work immediately.
On a small circle of satin, first glue on 6 pink petals.
The second layer of the flower is formed from 6 petals of white color, but so that all the corners of the elements converge inside in one point, and the petals themselves are located between the elements of the lower tier. It remains to decorate the flower with thin curls of white ribbon, and paste a paste into the middle of the product.
With hot glue fix flower on the side of the ball.
At the last stage a rope is glued to the ball, for which the product can be put on spruce branches. In order to attach the braid firmly - skip it under one of the knitted rows.
Christmas ball, created with your own hands ready to decorate your New Year's Eve.
