In the process of performing its main function - to be a connecting link between the road and the body, the suspension suffers enormous loads. This is the reason for such a frequent failure of its parts. Structurally, the suspension is part of the vehicle chassis system.
Traditionally, more attention is paid to the front suspension of the car, since it is here that the main components, parts and mechanisms responsible for safe driving are located. The driver is obliged to periodically diagnose the suspension of his car.By the way, for this it is not at all necessary to call in at the diagnostic stand. Let's start with shock absorbers. In good condition, this node should not make any sound, almost instantly quenching the swaying of the body. In the parking lot, you can inspect the suspension struts for the presence of stains. Of course, they should not be. The first signs of a malfunction signal the need for repair or replacement of shock absorbers.
Springs are diagnosed by the characteristics of the position of the body. Its low landing indicates the wear of the springs, of course - if the wheel alignment is adjusted correctly. Upper suspension bearings and bearings, silent blocks, lower arms and ball bearings require special diagnostic techniques, which we will discuss later.
Traction and support stabilizer checked by visual inspection and swinging hands with the application of some effort. The steering rack fails rarely. This trouble will be signaled by a backlash in the steering wheel and a characteristic knock. This fault requires immediate repair.
