How does a soul die?

Practically every person who faced the death of a loved one has a number of questions, but perhaps the main one is the question: is there life after death, can the soul die? The urgency of such questions is determined by the emergence of numerous points of view, both from the religious and the scientific side. In the past, our ancestors had confidence in the existence of an immortal soul. But the period of atheism introduced a new concept of “soulless person”, which brought a wave of doubts in faith about the existence of the soul, its properties, functions and purpose. And only with the advent of the new era, we can freely talk on this topic, affecting the religious side of the issue.

Can the soul die

Most people who are interested in questions about what is the relationship between the soul and life, what happens to the soul after death, try to find answers in religion. In the view of many people, the soul can exist outside the body and, leaving the body after death, is the cause of its life.Leaving the physical body, the soul makes the transition to another spiritual world, which is closer and possibly familiar to it.

People who have lost dear and close ones, without having the opportunity to change anything, begin to associate the soul with the immortal beginning of humanity, without thinking that the soul is not immortal at all, but a spirit.

How dies the soul

In Orthodoxy, the soul, after death until the third day, does not leave the earth, but is near its home and its loved ones. In this period of time in the house where the deceased lived, not always explicable things can occur. Many consider this a sign of the presence of the soul of a deceased person. After the occurrence of the 3rd day, the soul leaves the world and gets acquainted with the new afterlife world. The coming of the ninth day is considered the beginning of a difficult stage for the soul. During this period, knowing all sins, she has to go through hardships. And only on the fortieth day, the difficult period of the most difficult trials ends and the ascension of the soul by the Angels to God takes place, after worshiping which she is awaiting a decision about the future place of existence. The Last Judgment will decide on earthly behavior, the state of the soul and the prayers of loved ones.

A person who is mired in wickedness, lies, immoral behavior and a bad life to death, cannot hope for the existence of the soul and asks himself how does the soul die? The astral shell of such people is provided with the lowest layers from which it is impossible to get out. And only after some time comes its final disintegration, which entails the destruction of even the smallest remaining particles of the consciousness of the person and soul. The physical death of people who chose the path of depravity during life becomes the death of his whole individuality. And there is no hope for the continued existence of the soul in such people.
